Tough call. I guess it depends on the value of the individual hide at purchase.
Is it a good buy?
I always see the wonderful presentation a hide makes in a case cut, but then I have to slice up the hide for my project knowing I'll have left-overs.

Case skinned Otter always makes me drool, but how many Arrow Quivers do ya need?

Most of the hides I've purchased were cased but I had to cut them open anyway to make hats so for me the quality of the hide would make the difference.

Maybe I otter try one instead of raccoon…
