When the cylinder tune-up and reaming is done with how much more capacity powder charge was gained in '58 Rem. and Ruger OA?
Worth the cost? Shooting accuracy/power level results?

IIRC Clement will get you about 5gr in a .45 ROA. $50 & 2 weeks.

The work he did to convert my .45ROA to .490 (50+gr 3F) is FABULOUS!

I wouldn't hesitate to send him the ROA cylinder for reaming.

Go to the Clement message board to read the posts by folks who had their .45s reamed. Lotsa good comments/experiences discussed.

The Big Iron work gains you about the same 5-7 grains. It's not a big boost with black powder, but it's quite noticeable with 777. It's worth it for the accuracy increase though. Since they're going to be reaming and honing the cylinder, might as well have it deepened too. Also, the cutouts allowing better access to the nipples is a big plus.
