Have no formal muzzel loading exp. This one fell in my lap. Postley Nelson is stamped on the barrel and whats left on the lock plate ends with hton. 38" oct. rifled barrel, 17 lbs, large boar, set trigger. Seeking research directions or trustworthy comment. no pics as of yet.
 
Postley, Nelson & Co. was a company making gun barrels as well as tools in Pittsburgh, PA between 1850 and 1875. If you Google the name you will find several references on different sites.
