Hi Mntnhntr,

Is this Pietta 1851 model stainless steel? Checking a couple online Pietta retailers says that it is polished steel with no mention of stainless steel.

It
Tell me about how it shot with original nipples. Describe a accuracy please
shooting the revolver with a Hornady .457 round ball over a wonderwad with 22 grain of 3f goex resulted in consistent grouping with in 3 inches with some shots being double hole.
It did tend to shoot 2" high 2 " left of center at 25 yards.
