Yes...thought about adding that point but by the time I got back to my original post the 'edit timer' had expired.

Those 4" cans are not very big targets at forty yards...but I wanted to use them as they were the closest practical sized target to a turkey head I could find, that would also tell me something about penetration...I drove a 1"x2" flat stake in the ground about a foot tall, hung the can from the top of the stake so the flat bottom faced me.

It's one thing to look at the results of 35-40 paper targets, but when I got things dialed in as tight as I could, it was really satisfying to start popping those cans one after the other...then I knew I had it right, and the penetration was there too.

Now I just gotta get a turkey to cooperate...
