All the writing is on the left barrel flat, to the rear of the rear sight. There is a small square box with a CA in it, , there is a small circle with PN under the circle, there is a small symbol of some type, the serial number, the Pedersoli trade mark, followed by (which is 2 lines) Pedersoli ”“ Italy Cal.54 Black Powder Only

I think if you go to the store in Hamburg they have the maple ones on sale for 800 or so . :wink:

Richard: The CA in the box indicates it was proofed in 2006. The other markings are Italian Proof marks.

I just saw your post, sorry I hadn't looked at site recently. If you are still interested, I got the walnut stock and as I remember the rifle was about $720.00 from Richard at Flintlocks Etc. I am pleased with the gun in terms of fit & finish and the way it shoots- However, I am new to the sport and just trying to learn how to shoot black powder. If you get one let me know what you think after a couple of outings.
