Thanks for the compliments everyone. I used 60 grains of 3Fg and primed with 4fg. Also, a .490 rb from Eddie May. The pillow ticking came from Walmart. I beleive it was 0.015 thick. It was lubed with 50/50 bear grease and bees wax. The rifle was my second Jim Chambers' build and can be founf in the Gunbuilders section http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showpost.php?post/853526/

What a beautiful rifle and buck! Isn't it one of life's greatest blessings to have a friend/mentor like Ron? I had one, too--and his name was Ron! Thanks for sharing with us!

Great story, buck and rifle. Being from Washington Co. myself I know the WMA you are hunting.

Huntin_Dawg1215, then you know how easy it is to hunt the area. Just as easy as the TV hunting shows huh?

I'll be there again this week, but I may hunt Hidden Vally WMA some also.
