Had an almost identical situation with my Caywood Wilson. Discovered my lock had cracked the mainspring, had a friend who forged me a new mainspring. Called Danny Caywood to let him know and he asked why I didn't call him first. I told him I already had a new mainspring forged, yet he sent a replacement spring anyway. I still have the replacement spring, just in case. Agreed that there are some great people in and supporting this pastime of ours.

Danny is like that he wants you to enjoy shooting his guns, and he will fix any problem he sees as his fault. He didnt have time to stain the and let dry the ram rods so he included a lock and flint hammer tool free of charge with out telling me. ( he included a note in the box he shipped the gun in) This is service with a smile and a little extra. hes always been there when I call and has given advice with any problems I have had.( sighting in problems not any broken or bad parts) So if anyone should buy one of his guns you will always get good customer service.
