Welcome. You are in the right place. Black powder is spoken here.
My first bp rifle was a T/C Hawken. I still have it. But many others have since joined brother T/C. It is an addiction that most of us on this forum have been infected by.
It's a sickness that tends to never get better. That said it only affects certain people

Hi all, I live in North Alabama, I just was basically given a Thompson Center 54 cal muzzleloaer. I have not done anything with blackpowder in several years and then it wasn't very much, I mostly shot someone elses rifle. I figure I might as well get into it, I have always liked blackpowder rifles and stuff that goes with it.
Welcome from Minnesota! Thompson/Center built excellent guns.
Check out Idaho Lewis on youtube.
Have fun!

welcome from southeastern Vermont.
my first muzzleloader was/is a Thompson Center. not historically or period correct, but reliable and well built - i still have this one (and several others)

you've come to the right place :)
