Just for grins , do you have Dixon's gun shop ,How to build a m/l rifle book??? It's about $23.00 and still, one of the best books out there. Easy to understand text with illustrations. .........oldwood

I do not.
I don't have any books of the sort.
But, I am currently interested in putting one of these together so, maybe I'll look into it.

I don't guess there are too many books that are specific to pistols are there?
I assume a lot of the techniques for inletting and and measurement are pretty much the same for both a pistol and a rifle.
Would that be a safe assumption?

Yes. Building a rifle and pistol is almost the same. The only differences are the size of the pieces.
That makes for a lot less sanding but because the pistol parts are smaller, it is more difficult to hold them while your working on them.
