I’m having a new rifle made for me. my good friend Lee Wise is building my Lancaster ( jp Beck inspired) rifle. It’s a plain piece of maple with mineral stains, it has a 42 inch straight colrain round rifled barrel, (The stock was already inlet for this barrel... or I would have went swamped) chambers siler deluxe lock, the trigger was made by Lee, it will also feature a single panel patchbox. The drop at the toe is a little too much for a Beck and the the buttplate isn’t quite right for a Beck either... thus a Beck “ inspired” Lancaster... Lee is going to stain the stock nice and dark and age the brass for me... should be a great looking rifle when done.
I picked up the stock and furniture on another site for a really good deal. It was already profiled and barrel channel inlet, and ramrod groove cut.. I had planned on building it myself but time and patience isnt somthing I have right now.

Lee Wise is relatively a new builder to the scene, with right 20 builds under his belt, he builds a common mans rifle/fowler with no frills... Ive handled several rifles he made and his inletting and metal finishing is near perfect, He’s also an all around great fella.
