I have aquired a partial project rifle that someone started to build. I think I can make a fullstock plains rifle out of it, however I would like to identify the barrel. It is a 15/16 .54 cal, 34 inches long, approximatly 1 in 60" twist. The only marking is 3098. It appears to be decent quality with fairly deep rifling, but the rifling is somewhat unusual with grooves much wider than the lands. Would anyone have a guess as to the manufacturer of the barrel? I would kind of like to know how good it is before I put too much labor into it. Thanks in advance.
