Howdy folks: Two Feathers here:
I have ball starters. I can't have more than one item per listing, so there will be others listed soon.
These are MY original design ball starters from my 1977 design. I started making these based on what my BP shooting buddies and the gun shop I worked for said they wanted. They run $14.00 + $8.00 s&h. Cheap at twice the price! If you take more than one to the same address, I’ll only charge you shipping on one.

Each starter is approx. 3-3/4” long under the handle. These have a 9mm Brass casing tip, (not traditional, but VERY effective) with a strong 7/16” Oak dowel and Elk antler handle. The handles range from 2-1/2” to 2-3/4“long. Each shaft is stained with my custom blend of dyes and has my Two Feathers signature burned into it.

These are built to last. I haven’t had anyone break one yet during normal use. I get great reviews on these and have sold a bunch of them online and at shoots, even WITH the 9mm casing. No one seems to mind the non-PC part, due to the low price, and quality craftsmanship. These sell for$20.00 ea. at shoots and I can't make them fast enough to keep the shooters supplied. These are made by me here in my NE Pa. shop with American materials. Please support our local craftsmen, but American.

If you are interested, PM me. These go fast so get your order in soon. Christmas and Rendezvous season are just around the corner. Hopefully this Virus thing will be gone by then? Don’t be left standing at the firing line with a half loaded weapon and a cheap, broken third world ball starter. Be confident in your equipment with a strong, reliable, Two Feathers hand crafted ball starter.

I ship/sell to Canada, but all prices are in USD$ to the 50 United States.

I prefer PayPal friends, but I also take money orders. Money orders will add 1 week for travel time. I ship same day as funds are received, exceptions are Federal holidays, Sundays, PO hours, and severe weather.

Stay safe, stay healthy. Wash your hands often, and avoid crowds.

As always, thanks for looking.

God bless:

Two Feathers,
With all due respect, what makes these ball starters "your original design"? I, and many others, have made these forever using antler handles. I also put jag tips on some to fit specific calibers.

Mr. Herman:
Thank you for your question. I had this same conversation with another gentleman here about a year ago. If you look closely; I stated MY original design ball starters, not THE original design ball starters! I know these have been around for years, but this is the design I came up with in 1978, for a ball starter while working for the gun shop at the time. I NEVER said this was THE one and only original design for a ball starter or that it was only MY design! This design was mine at the time. Also, at the time there were no other people making/selling ball starters. I was given a task by the shop owner to come up with a ball starter that he could sell in his store, and this is what I came up with.
I hope this answer is satisfactory?
Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to you also. Fair enough in thought but without being offensive some of us started shooting, and making accessories, long before 1978. Actually, nothing in the game is really new, just changed and improved over the years.

Mr. Herman:
No offense taken. I understand completely. I was working for Wally Hart (of the world famous Hart Barrels) and he wanted to get his little shop into BP accessories, so he had me working on Powder Horns, Ball blocks, Vent picks, and Ball Starters. That's how I came up with that design. I had just gotten discharged and I was new to BP. I had just built my first rifle. I went to Wally's shop in hopes of getting some powder and balls. He askd me if I ever used one before. I told him no, but I'd read some books on making accoutrements, and I liked the idea of "Tinkering" with that type of thing. He told me to make up some things and let him see them. I did, and he asked me to keep making them for his shop. Eventually, I started doing it for other shops in the area, and the word got around. By the mid 80's I was making a lot of accoutrements, but knives were my passion. I started making them in 1966 (I'm 72) been at it ever since. The OLD knife thing started about 5 years ago.
OK...enough trips down memory lane, you take care of yourself. Maybe one of these days I'll sell you a knife?
Happy New Year.

Thank you. I was just "cleaning up" some of my old posts. Sorry if I gave the impression that these were still up for sale?
I've sold hundreds of these since 1977! If you are, or ever become interested in one, just let me know. I can whip you one up and get it shipped in a day, provided I have the Brass tips, which I usually do. I try to keep at least 4 on hand at al times.

I don’t use them but yours do look good.
Banjoman:
Thank you sir. You ought to give one a try? It'll make your shooting life much easier. I have one on my bench right now. I'll have it listed in an hour or two. Hopefully someone will want it for their shoot, rendezvous, or hunting season? Normally they don't last long after I list one, but it's all up to the members? Thank you again for your time to post.
