You're going to love it, I made one jsut like it about 6 years ago and use it to keep my fire fixins in. They are great belt bags or just bags to throw in a pack. They're easy to operate with cold fingers to.

That's a smart looking sporran. I would suggest you dress it up with some celtic knotwork or something. There are lots of little charms and medallions to be had inexpensively. If not, it's still a great sporran to be used for whatever.

I'd like to see the frontier kilt that goes with it! :hatsoff:

Don't want to hijack the thread, but where there's sporrans a kilt is surely not far off

It's called a Belted Plaid.
Take 4.5 yards (or more) of woolen tartan cloth of your choosing, unfold it out over your belt, pleat or gather it in the center, lay on top, fold the ends over your front, belt it on and VOILA
You have the traditional Scottish Highland "Frontier Kilt" dating all the way back to 1590!

Q: What's worn under that kilt?
A: Nothin's worn. Everything works fine!

Q: What do you wear under your kilt?
A: Shoes and socks.

Q: What do you wear under your kilt?
A: Give me your hand and I'll let you find out. :winking:

Ya wear one of them things to a rondy and you may get Kilt. :rotf:

I've worn kilts to all the Rondys I've been to and never had any problems, just compliments.
One guy, while doing the rifle trail jokingly said something about my "skirt" I replied

"It's called a kilt because that's what we did to the last guy who called it a skirt"

We all got a good laugh out of that one!!

Having a guy willing to eat a live grasshopper for a news crew's benefit also gets a laugh! Though we were actually laughing at the reaction of Ms. Mary Newsperson's reaction!! Long story!!! :winking:

Don't know Spanky, I prefer mine well done and chocolate covered! This particular time I was just there for "color" and "odor"!! :youcrazy: It did seem to effect the news lady rather oddly...never saw a Latino lady go so pale at the snap of a finger! Well maybe, it was "crunch" and not "snap". :rotf:
