A javelina I took yesterday evening with my .45 that I built in 1980. A 45 with 60 grains 3F is plenty for a 25 pound pig. As of this afternoon it's been converted to sausage. It was a fun hunt with some good friends. It was getting late when the photo was taken which may explain the red face. That or the 50 yd uphill drag!

I remember you saying that you were headed out and it looks like it worked out well. Congratulations on a successful hunt…nice looking rifle too

Thanks

Thanks for sharing the photo of your successful hunt.
Nice looking rifle Crisco, we appear to be the same vintage, encourages me to try & drag my old carcass into the Idaho back country for another hunt :)
Happy trails,

I respect your grit and vigor and hope to be tottin a fine rifle and aiming sharp for as many seasons as you are. Well played and thanks for sharing. That has to be the perfect size muzzleloader I've seen to date. I love them all but that just looks perfectly practical to carry afield.
