muzzleloading harpoon gun

What do you think of GunBroker auction? Do you think it is authentic?
There do not seem to be any markings on this muzzleloading gun...

It look's like someone modified an old "punt gun" and the people selling it don't have a clue,, so they are calling it a harpoon gun,,
(with no harpoon available!)

Well many whales and Walrus are smaller and a small harpoon gun could be used.
However, getting close to a big Blue Whale with that pip-squeak of a gun would
get your boat snatched under or you killed.

I would definitely be skeptical, but I don’t know enough about the originals to tell. Sometimes hard to tell from pictures as well.
