Mousetrap treasure

So the mother of invention is necessity. The lowly mouse trap. A friend was helping me with my Kibler SMR build. We were looking for a sanding block and the best thing we saw in my new shop was a mousetrap. Lifted the spring and inserted sandpaper. Worked like a charm. So I’m doing different little piddling jobs around my shop. Just piddling and I spied that rat trap. A Victor nonetheless. The same one we used as a sanding block. Maybe it had something to do with the colonoscopy I had this morning but my thinking was a whole lot clearer this evening even though the ale is flowing. I saw possibilities. A pick. Two copper staples. A hinge. And a clamp.

I would roll the paper all across the bottom and use the rear staple pushed back into its holes then it won't roll off the bottom but that's just me. Sweet use of a leftover tool.

I would not and do not care for either one. However; I'd much prefer a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
