Has any one had any dealing with a Lyman Deerstalker Carbine?
It has a 22 inch barrel instead of the 24 inch one. The barrel is hex to round and is a .50 cal.
The barrel is stamped Deerstalker .50 cal and the Lyman info also.
I heard that it was just made for a couple of year in the late 1990's.
Thanks

I have a Deerstalker percussion which has the 24” octagon barrel. I have an old Mountain State catalog which lists this rifle and it’s variations no mention of any half round version. Since you’re missing 2 inches of barrel it may have been modified.
