I always ground hunted unless I was bow hunting. I used to hunt in the alleghany mountains in Pa. I usually sat for the morning and then after everyone headed out of the woods and I just couldn't sit any longer( stir crazy and sore butt) I would walk and sit until It started to get about the right time in the evening. It worked pretty well for me and I wouldn't really see many guys except my dad and other guys from my group. Now I live in NC and its alittle, alot different. I am hunting smaller plots of land and its usually private plot were you may have permission on one plot but not on the others around it. Its tougher! I have been resisting a tree stand for 10 yrs now but I'm starting to think I may need to get one. I just have a hard time sitting in the same place allllll day loooong!
