Investarms flintlock 50 cal. Flint question

I like to ask anyone use 3/4 x 7/8" black English flints in there lock?

Every lock is designed for a size flint. But I can say the English flint is prime. Just fit to what your gun needs. You are on course and need no help.

You have to watch the length of the flint to insure it doesn't hit the pan. I have tried longer flints in my Lyman GPR 9 (same lock) and have had to grind them down so they didn't hit the pan. Now I only buy the TOTW recommended size.

Yes, that's the only size I use in my Siler, and L&R locks. As was said, Track of the Wolf has a good size listing based on brands of locks, and which size flints they take. Hitting the pan is one thing to consider, another is whether the flint at half cock is touching the frizzen or not. You want it to be close to but not touching the frizzen at half cock.
