Hey folks, after a few weeks of browsing threads I figured I'd join so I could post my own questions and observations. I began the rabbit hole of black powder a couple years ago when I put together a traditions Kentucky riffle. Had some success grouse and squirrel hunting with it, but wanted to get a sxs smooth bore. Years of frequently checking auction sites, gun broker, and the likes I came across Gunderson Militaria. They are a father son combo that have a massive stock of vintage firearms. I picked up a 16 gauge sxs and began taking it apart and cleaning it up yesterday. Almost have it functional and am looking forward to getting out in the woods with it. Thank you all for the valuable resource of knowledge and experience I've already gleamed off of you.
