Can anyone tell me what style/school this stock.is supposed to be?

I didn't build this. It came to me with bad carving on the left side of the butt, which was more like engraving. It had a left side plate that was inletted into the stock, and poorly engraved as well. The final flaw for me was the 42" unswamped barrel. Too heavy an unwieldy in the woods.

So, I cut 14" off the barrel and stock. Scraping the stock to remove finish on a nice piece of cherry. Would like to get it close to the intended style, but notice the slight fishbelly that the screwdriver is pointing to. Not sure if this is supposed to be there.

Also, the buttstock seems very thick, as indicated by the butt plate. It has been thinned down a little as I scraped the carving in the wood.

Need to match the lock bolt plate to the style, and will probably replace the large siler percussion lock with a flint. Just because.

Can you point me to the school/style and what's the best option for a stock finish to keep it on the lighter side so the grain pops a little more?

Thank you. I'll get some internet photos to look at and see if I can bring this in line with what it's supposed to be.

I wish the "carving" on this was similar to your pics. Whoever built the gun I have, just gouged out the pattern after laying it out on the stock.
