Here’s my WAG:
Could it be a Green River Rifle Works?
I heard the employees were allowed to build rifles in their spare time- maybe WAS worked there and built it for Big Joe Lynn?
Seen no evidence that WAS was working at GRRW but that is based on no real research on my part.

My assessment lacking actual information, WAS was a professional level gun stocker. He had much more experience stocking that the 6 guns inferred by my No. 6. Inletting is near perfect for the most part. The finish is immaculate....not a goober to be seen. Plus finish is a "poly something" than suggests the vaunted 'eggshell' beloved by John Bivens. Something I have found impossible to do with poly anything. Guessing he mainly stocked/built modern rifles and perhaps dabbled in muzzleloaders. This may account for old timer blackpowder shooters never having heard of him.
