Need help. I've searched TOTW and Dixie Gun Works, for a hooked breech with snail to fit a 13/16 barrel, with a 9/16-18 thread. I want to build a 36 cal. half stocked percussion rifle. If anyone can tell me where else I can look I'd sure appreciate it. :)

Don't think you can get there from here. I researched that a few months ago and found that the only 13/16" hooked breech was the English square style, which would have to be filed round to make a snail. The other filing alternative was the Hawken 15/16" plug filed down on all the flats and tang. Both are 5/8x18, which isn't available from GM in .36 cal, but it is from Rice. That's a fair amount of work to get to a starting place!

I found the same thing when looking recently for a hooked breech to use on my .50 trapper pistol... everything except the English breeches w/bar are made for 15/16" or 1" barrels.

I suppose someone with better facilities than myself could make one that worked for 13/16th without the barrel bar.

MBS's website doesn't show any 13/16" hooked breeches other than the English breeches.

I also considered using an Ohio patent breech, available from TOW. Its not a snail tho.
