Hello and Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm new to Muzzleloading, although I've been shooting modern rifles, pistols and all sorts of bows for a long time.

I shot my first flintlock muzzleloader last year in PA while visiting a friend in PA, and the bug bit!

So after researching a bunch, I ordered a Jim Kibler Colonial rifle kit as my first ML build. I ordered it in .50 with the extra fancy grade maple. I'm almost finished with the build, and am now just working on the stock finish. I actually posted a question about that just a few minutes ago in the Workbench section.

Anyway, I look forward to building some more as it's been great fun building this one. I think I'm going to order the SMR kit from Jim Kibler next.

With a little luck I just might take a deer with this Colonial style flintlock in early January in PA!

Thanks for all the great information and inspiration!
Anthony
