Joined a nice outdoor shooting club last year with nice rifle ranges which made me want to get back into black powder. Been reading a lot on the internet regarding kits and hope to purchase a nice flint lock kit soon. I have an old percussion T/C Hawken that has not been shot in over 30 years and sadly I have to admit I did not take good care of it in my younger days and am on the hunt for a replacement barrel so I can get going with shooting it. Been reading a lot of good posts on the forums and glad there is a big group of people that know their muzzleloading and share their knowledge.

What city is near you?

We have five muzzleloading gun clubs in the Tarheel State.

The Crosse Creek Club in Cumberland County sponsors the NMLRA/NC Territorial Matches in April and the NC State Muzzle Loading Rifle Championship Matches in October,

Let me know where, and again, welcome to the Muzzleloading Forum.

Good morning and thank you for the information. I am in Concord, near Charlotte. I will do some searching on the info you posted. It would be fun to attend some events.
