If it is a rebranded American Pioneer ascorbic powder, do not have high expectations. It is extremely hydroscopic and will deteriorate quickly after opening.
Yes it is hydroscopic but if you put the cap on tight and leave the desiccant packs in the jar it may clump a little but stays good..
he Sharps cartridges I shot the other day were loaded with APP from a bottle that was opened about a year ago. and shot just as accurately as cartridges loaded with the same volume ad normal Gunpowder.
It is just a little harder to ignite that Gunpowder especially in the Sharps with that circuitous fire path.
I suspect it will work in the Smith but I really don't care yo trry and Flees does not recommend it with his conversion.
Play safe
Have fun

Got mine today. It's just APP alright. Testing to follow-- Monday!
volume for volumen ot by weight. It does not like compression so just have the ball seated gently on the powder.
This was told to me by a shooter who uses a case of powder a year.
