Hadn't been to the Sporting Clay Shoot for a couple of months but Sunday morning I find myself in a percussion competition and first shot of the day counts. Managed 21/25 so not in the prizes, but it there is still the flintlock shoot nxt month.

Driving home I realised I needed a 12 gauge, patent breech, shootable flint gun, with a good drop on it if I was to stand a chance. Not a lot of hope but I trawled the gun sites on the Internet and found exactly that :shocked2:

I have bought some expensive junk in the past but I never lose faith because I regret the guns I didn't buy a lot more than the guns I did

I asked whether it was glue or tin holding the new face on and apparently it is glue

Do you reckon there is an ante-chamber behind that touch?

Have come across some which the frizzen sole is riveted to the face , I would say the touch hole is inletted into the barrel by a grove and will be not too deep into the chamber have seen some that the platinum touch hole has been blown out.
