I bought some stuff at an auction & in one of the cabinets I purchased, amoung the junk there was a 8# cannon ball. It is a solid one not a explosive one. Is it worth anything ? or just a conversation piece.

Thanks

Check on ebay, that will give you an idea of the current fair market value.

Just :m2c:

Anything of historic significance has value, you should know this being a maker of historic style firearms...

Would a roundball have value if it was proven to be made during the French & Indian war era?

Heck yea, so why not a cannon ball...

Well, I nknow it iw worth something.. If it is worth 50-75 bucks it will stay here as a conversation piece. But if it is a 200 item, it will find a new home.
I will see what eBay has to say.

Thanks :front:
