Eagles eye View of the fort at the 35th Annual Rendezvous

I was at Fort de Chartres Saturday. I was surprised at the scarcity of gun parts, just one fellow that I saw had a meager selection and I got a couple of domed lock screws for my never ending jaeger project. I met one guy there who had bought a .54 jaeger from the TOTW website made by Dr. Gary White. You just never who you will meet or what you'll see at a big event like that and the food was great as always! I saw some vendor selling photos but they aren't as cool as your morning photo of the sun hitting the Fort. I wonder how many other forum members were there.

It has to be one of my favorite events.

Yeah, that place is sooooo underated. The missus and I stopped by on vacation returning from Tenn. just to kill time and look around and let me tell you I was blown away by the whole place. What a jewel of a historic site and kudos to the state of Ill.(and the volunteers) for reconstructing the place. Definitely will swing by again.
