My son and I shot my new 50cal Lyman Plains pistol for a while yesterday and I was really impressed with it.
We worked on figuring out a load that it liked and we finally got it. It likes a .490 round ball with 35grains of 3F powder and a .018 ticking patch. After we got that figured out we were consistantly shooting 2 inches to the left at 25 yards. That isn't bad shooting from a gun right out of the box. The next time we shoot we are going to zero it in for good.

Congrats to the new pistol and these nice shooting.
Next week I'll get my .45 Kentucky pistol from Traditions.

Regards
