for a queen anne nose cap. going to pour it this week end in Pewter

Pretty cool. Eager to see any photos of your process, and of course the result.
Well the cold and boring depths of Winter spur,s idea,s in my head and some say why? I say why not? Not Historical to a Queen Anne or H/C to any degree. In the end it provides a bit of better strength up front with no screws into the Wood rather than just a single screw and the relief provides sort of a rudimentary sight me thinks? In the end I might just have an odd duck P-Soli Q.A. Sm

Looks a little awkward.
 
Queen Anne barrel embellishment Revisited. scrapped the original design and designed this version. have to fit and finish it out.

I like the newer one better - is it brass colored sculpy? Or painted? Anyway, it looks graceful, more in the style of a Queen!
