This dress with black trim and highlights was made by my wife. She wore it only a couple times. She meticulously made it from a copy of an original period dress pattern. I don't know the 'period' but believe it is a copy of one worn by a First Lady. Actually, it would be 'period' correct for a span of nearly 200 years. It includes a skirt/petticoat/whatever that matches. Also a matching small handbag with pair of full length white gloves. Also included is a beautiful black and white cameo broach. Note: this dress was stored in a box for years. It is wrinkled and will need to be steamed or ironed to get wrinkles out. I am going to ship in a box so it will come to you wrinkly. Not a fatal condition. $70.00 shipped to U.S. Postal money order or personal check accepted. Edit: I don't know size but my wife was 5'6" and about 120 lbs. Another edit: Forgot to mention a matching mob cap is included.

Bumping again. I'm surprised this hasn't sold yet. It is a beautiful dress. It could not be made for the price I am asking. Not to mention the many hours of hard work that would be required to make it.

FWIW, a check of Jas. Townsend's site shows his dresses costing from over $300.00 to over $600.00. The dress I am offering for $70.00 is more complex and elegant than his $600.00 models. Frankly, I'm puzzled as to why someone hasn't snapped this up yet.
