I've been told that Cimarron has higher standards for the arms sold.
Somebody chime in here.

Ditto.

When I buy Uberti, I get mine from either Cimarron or
Taylor's for a couple of reasons.

The quality at both are better than from Cabelas or some of the other discount places. Second they each have gunsmith's on site which is nice if needed. At Taylor's you can call and ask to speak with him if you think you have a problem.

I cannot speak about muzzleoaders.
Generally a large importer can expect goods made to specific standard. This standard can be higher or lower.
When Brno started going to the states the quality of the metalwork dropped and the wood got better than what we had been getting here.
Even look at Marlin. They made Glenbrook among other lines for specific retailers.
I feel that some of the larger outlets in the USA probably have specific models only available to them.

Very true, Taylor's has finishes on pistols you can not get at Cabelas or other discount stores.

That’s what I was suspecting. Cause fishing around I’ve noticed $40-$50 difference for the same manufacturer, different importer. It seems like Taylor’s and Cimarron are the two top importers
