Trying to make my own version of TC’s deluxe ball starter and long story short I can’t seem to find a good way to add a lanyard and I can’t find any of those screw on ones like the deluxe version has. Any suggestions?

Something like this?

Get one that's just big enough to fit your lanyard.
Burn it and oil it, or paint it, if the color doesn't work.
I would pre-drill the knob, to avoid splitting the wood.
Just one of many options, and it's cheap. Just like me! :ghostly:

If you're making a starter with a round knob maybe you could loop the lanyard sideways through the knob at right angles so it doesn't interfere with function.
