How do you unhook the barrel on this beast? Is barrel straight? Can you remove the barrel and make some photos of the stock under the barrel? Rifling twist?

Reduced 700$
Make me a trade offer! I'd love a good solid little rifle in smaller caliber for the kids or a nice pistol for myself!

What is the twist on the barrel?
I have not examined the subject rifle, but the seller advised us that it has a .54 caliber Green Mountain Barrel. I can state that Green Mountain's standard twist for .54 caliber muzzleloader barrels is 1:70. Their barrels typically have eight grooves, 0.010" - 0.012" deep depending on caliber. I don't know that they offer any custom options, as they seem to have difficulty keeping their standard offerings in stock. Their barrels are highly regarded.

I might add that the lock appears to be a Siler. That's a nice rifle, with an excellent barrel and lock.

@RedOneFive , I don't mean to butt in or distract from your topic. Good luck with your sale!

Thanks Notchy,
I have several "build cards" of the rifles he made with the specs. But there is not one for this rifle.

It is a pretty rifle, I just have to draw the line on what I keep and what needs a home. I'm already out of room lol. (and money)! It'll make somebody happy.

I don't have a trade but I do have a really nice original CVA frontier carbine that my future daughter in law decided she'd rather have a hawken all of my 5 kids built 1 of these before they could deer hunt. these are great starter guns for kids or short statured shooters
