Made by Pomeroy in 1837, this m1822 was converted to percussion before the Civil War. It is wonderful condition with a nice patina with minor oxidation on the metal and an even patina. The stock is incredible. No sanding has been done and the lock contours are sharp as ever with all the correct stock cartouches.
The mechanics are fantastic and the mainspring is strong as ever. The ramrod was replaced with the correct button head style and fits nicely into the ramrod channel. The bore is VERY GOOD (8.5+/10) with the lines still visible when the barrel was reamed.
This is THE PERFECT early war to mid-war Confederate or Federal musket to have. Don't miss the opportunity to add this to your collection. You could fire it at targets or just enjoy on the wall. Compatible examples are $200+ at the relic dealers.
Asking $1400 SHIPPED CONUS.P M for details.
