Some members mentioned some benches out among the ranges would be nice so I built some. I had started gathering hardi siding pallets from various construction sites to build myself some camp furniture and sourced several more. The Contractors are tickled for me to take the pallets as they really fill up a construction dumpster. They vary in width from 42” and 45”, to 50” wide and are 12’ long with 1X6 and 1X4 tops and “landscape timber” skids. The skids are not pressure treated so I paint them with water sealer and use scrap 2X4 PT for the “feet”. I think they make a nice rustic looking bench that should look right at home out in the woods. Here are the first six:
