I finally made a decision to sell my Track of the Wolf Bridger Hawken kit. It was a hard decision to make since I wanted to put it together myself, I have a great love for these fine rifles. I hope whoever buys it will appreciate these fine rifles as I do.

I purchased this kit from Track back in 2007 and have all of the pieces to create an iron mounted rifle. The following is a description of the rifle. Pictures to follow.

Bridger Hawken
1 1/8 x 36" straight .58 cal. (THIS BARREL IS THE GREEN MOUNTAIN, NOT THE OTHER)
Davis set triggers
L&R lock
The pictures that I follow with will tell you all you need to know about the parts (all iron)
The Stock is plain figured as were most of the Hawken (Hawkin) rifles of the era, nothing fancy but solid.
The ramrod is a bit curved after apx. 16 years as you can imagine but I'm sure you can straighten is with a bit of steam and ingenuity. The barrel is pristine with only a bit of dark grey patina on the outside of the barrel. You most likely won't see this 1 1/8 .58 in a Jim Bridger Kit again.

I call TOTW and spoke to Ethan today and kits for a tapered .54 is selling for about apx. $1,400 plus tax. I am asking more for my kit because you can not get a Green Mountain Straight 1 1/8 .58 any longer from them. It's my opinion only but you can't do much better for big game than a .58 cal. rifle. I have shot one just like it for about 17 years now and it is one accurate and powerful rifle. My rifle has won numerous matches and has proven itself in the field as well over the years. Fully equipped with sights it will make the weight for the X stick matches or the light bench matches.

I do not know what the shipping would be but I will pay up to $50.00 for the shipping or can meet up within reason of zip code 76825. I would have to be paid first and there would be no returns.

Pictures to follow.

Ok, finally got a few more pics taken. I’m no photographer and my cell is not for professional use, lol

Actually there was some black on the breach plug. Perhaps I wanted to see what it was going to take to fit it up whenever I did get to it, or was checking the threads between it and the barrel. In any case, I have never installed this plug on a barrel and like I said that was a long time ago.

I would like to sell the kit so I’ll drop the price to $1,400 no tax. Here are a few more pictures.

I’m pretty certain that in the green mountain barrels in that caliber it is 1 in 66. A slower twist means you can put a heavier charge, end it actually likes a heavier charge, without fear of not engaging the rifling. (STRIPPING PAST THE RIFLING)

I’ve shot the bear silhouette target at 200 yards at friendship with my other Bridger Hawken (Same type barrel) using 200 grns of 2ff and it performed as expected, it knocked the hell out of the bear!

Is this kit still available and unless I missed it, what are you asking for the kit?
