I'm currently reading "15 years in the Hawken Lode" by Baird. He described the first few "Hawken" matches at Friendship being 1968 to 70. One of the winners was a Robert Hoyt which I'm guessing is Bobby Hoyt, the barrel maker. I didn't know what his age was, but he must be up there in years.

Walt
I read he was 73. He done two 40 cal round bottom barrels for me last year. The more I shoot them the more I like them. I hope he can pass on some of his expertise and experience before he retires. He is a true craftsman in my opinion.
