I did consider him lining it with oil cloth, but a little bear oil/beeswax mix works fairly well on a number of different things. Was thinking of just using sandwich bags and putting 10 cartridges in each one that way if I do fall in, it happens, then the only cartridges that would get wet would be the one that I have open at the time. I have yet to fall in and soak my gun, I figure if I take the ML just that will happen :haha:

Here you go Roy.

I made that rig from a supposedly 18th century original.
I think a rig like that will go very nicely with your fowler. One side holds the shot and the other is for powder, though I don't think the original was used like that.

Greg.

I'll never own a different type of dog. Gretchen is a GWP. I have owned several very smart mutts and she is smarter, with the drive to hunt what you want. Natural pointer and retriever and not as rambunctious as a lab, nor sheds as much. She is an idoor and go everywhere dog.

Greg does that dump pre-measured loads??

HEY SWAMPY!!!!!

Yea.
One snake holds your shot while the other sanke holds your powder. You can set the Irish loaders to throw the right amount of pre measured powder or shot. You just got to fool abit with one of the loaders that the powder does not trickel past the stop.easy enough to do..

Hopefully down the road I'll get a chance to make a double 16 flinter for myself. That is an awesome set up, thanks for the pics :hatsoff:

If you like it. I can send you my mistake :rotf: to copy along with a drawing for the leather rigging...
It was a mistake cause I made the snakes from too light of leather. Still good to go,just too light weight.......

Very Nice - Voutsi - never ceases to amaze me - I am working towards getting more self sufficient in making my gear.

:haha: I see your creating more work for me.

I did get a thing of Fiebing's Mink oil liquid just to water proof your bag Roy.
