Stay away from black powder, Gordon. It will only make it worse. Nice Grandson.
Yes my unmentionable 577-500
No2. double was nitro arm and sword proof mark I took it to the proof house London and they could not decide if it was full nitro or nitro for black they decided to reproof it BP. It was almost obvious not full nitro as they weigh in at 12 lbs and my double only 10.5 lbs. With the prices of nitro powders I can see BP will be welcomed back with great love . I love the smell of BP, but don’t we all, don’t help I bought a ml cape rifle last year 14 lbs a great cannot 12 bore and .624 belted ball

Sleep well

I bought a cape gun last year. It is a 12g .55 ml. It has different sized nipples. I certainly wouldn’t fire it.
It should be ok. Probably both iron barrels ???? Bit early for steel. hope your bores ain’t pitted. I did not see mine before bidding at Holts. Auction, won at £860 including buyers premium.
Covered in light rust but all there. I was resolved I would have to sleeve both bores but as it happened they were very good Made by Reilly 1853. It’s a heavy brute 14lbs Nipples are the same size on mine Make 2 winged moulds now and again cannot shoot it. Lost my police S1 & S2 I might shoot an intruder at 79 I can have obsolete guns if I hang them on the wall. No matter I shoot a compound bow a nasty weapon, ha ha And pcp bsa Scorpio

It looks nice, but somewhat expensive. I think the buyer premium kills it.
I picked up my first No. 4 Mk 2 (or 1) in 1954 and never had to pay for weapons or ammunition until 1970. It all became a bit more expensive since then. Pretty girls and pretty guns…..

I used to get guns on my doorstep as I was known to collect gun. One day 1967 I found a Luger and a pile of 9 mm ammo. That’s 3-5 years inside if caught by police In the river quick. Ha ha

Yrs I know is heavy £££ this 577 m Might go for less. I usually put a low bid in and get 1 in 5. My friend just picked up a gibbs l1850 for £1500 off a guy in his club. Worth £6000 plus. Mint condition A friend picked up a tatty whitworth target rifle, locally the junk shop owner was glad to get rid of it for £75. Just keep looking

Nice to chat. I would like a better Olympic pcp air gun. But most are 177’and only 7 ft lbs. But I like my bsa Scorpio 177&22!as I can pot squirrels out to 50 yards deadly accurate and I got 80 yards target in garden best 50 yards for death by airgun

Very cold sunny day London but warmer that Tommy up in Maine May your god be with you , whoever he is
You
Wife says “ not another gun”.
