I ended oy buying the cabelas hawkins 50 cal
but the rear sight is the worst sight i have ever seen, very sloppy up and down and side to side, very disapointed in investarms.

can anyone tell me what is a good rear sight to buy and where.

Is the sight dovetailed or screwed on and does that matter with a new sight? TOW, Long hawken, #RS-HA or RS-HA-5 .

Yep know the story about Cabela's muzee. I too have one and (love it!) . Very accurate out to 100 yards after I change the sight on it. I put a "williams fiber optic sight on mine you can go with the peep if you want, if that don't fancy you, you can go with lymans too :hatsoff: Good Luck!

To take the side slop out of my rear sights, TC CVA that are made like yours, I take off gun, flop out the center piece, then put body in vise and squeeze it till center part will just fit in tight. For up and down mite need a stronger spring. Dilly

Those modern sights a good aid to those aging eyes?
