Selling my lovely example of a U.S. Model 1842, .54 caliber percussion muzzle loading pistol. This one is dated 1846 and is in overall really good condition. Metal is bright, stock is in good shape with all the dings, and character you would expect of an 177 year old pistol. Bore has brightness to is with a scattered bit of pitting. I have shot this one several times w/o problem and has been great! After each outing has always been thoroughly cleaned, bore lightly oiled and the entire gun gets a wipe down and a coat of renaissance wax. Letting this go to free up some funds for other projects and acquisitions. Asking $800 shipped, or best offer. Thank you!
