So I have two of these moulds and am in the hunt for a barrel to shoot them from:

Not a lot of luck with a drop in barrel yet, but one barrelmaker said he might be able to do it in the future. He asked me for the diameter and length of the conical these moulds cast.

As this project might drop by the wayside due to lack of a drop in barrel, I'd prefer to leave the packages unopened in case they go on the market here if I run up the white flag and give up.

And I'm also well aware that individual moulds/alloys can make a difference of a thou here and there. I can deal with fitting these moulds conicals to the barrel by either lapping the cavity or resizing the conical in my Saeco lubri-sizer. Once I have a barrel...

So the measurements are more to answer the barrelmaker's request for the information.

If anyone has some of these laying around in their equipment, I'd appreciate it if you find the time to throw some verniers over the bands, the length, and what the bullet that it throws weighs.

Thanks for any help.

Can't help with the mold measurements but there are a few people on gunbroker that sell these precast. Maybe but a few and measure the bullet.

Cast some bullets and see what you have. Nobody can tell you what your molds will do. Once you have some perfect bullets send them the the barrel guy. Basically you will need a faster twist, 1:30"? and fairly shallow grooves. The front band will be a good groove diameter. The two rear bands will be the bore diameter. A used Senica 36 cal will math these bullets.

2nd??? "Not for Sale in California." What is that about? Is/was TC shunning California over lead phobia?

"Match" not "math",
The edit option disappeared. Moderator, you should put it back. It is very useful to people who are poor typists.

Check out the settings on your web browser.
My Chrome browser has three horizontal bars in the upper right hand area of the screen. Clicking on those opens a window where I choose "Settings".
Under "Show advanced settings" I see a "Privacy" area where I can choose "Use a web service to resolve spelling errors". Put a check mark in the box.
It should fix your problem.

Well, from elsewhere, THAT particular T/C mould:
.361" base band
.365" top band
.610" length
133 grains

Close enough to keep the prospective barrel maker happy.

It is a LOT easier for me to fit the cast bullets to the barrel rather than to ask a barrel maker to change the barrel to fit some sample bullets. It's either a short lapping job for an undersized bullet, or a trip through the Saeco Lubri-sizer for undersize bullets.
