Looking for parts for a civil war musket, I have the stock but now need some parts to go with it, rough condition would be OK as they are 170 years. Let me know what you have. thanks steg49

Not really sure what this is. I got it in a trade. I have shot it a few times. Mostly like a 20 gauge. 50gr ffg and same amount of #4 shot. 2 rounds of a patched ball. I think I used 45gr FFg. I don't remember. It did go through a 50 gallon drum at about 30 yards.

The gun is a Model 1861 Springfield and looks like a Bannermans shotgun. Ramrod is questionable. The tip is wrong. The stock is cut in a good way and a forend can be purchased from Dunlap in VA. Gunstocks – Dunlap Woodcrafts. The barrel looks right but hard to tell. If it hasn't been cut it should be 40". Bobby Hoyt in Fairfield PA can line it and strech it so you can make a 3 band musket. The lock internals look great. I have a bunch of parts but most of them are 63 type I and II. Let me know what your building and check what I have.

You referring to mine? I'm not looking to use it. Just thought the original post person might be interested in it for parts. The barrel is 32 inches.

I'm rebuilding an 1870 unmentionable (here on this site) but all the small parts are interchangeable with 1861-1870 Springfield muzzleloading muskets. Small parts like the but plate, barrel bands and trigger guard screws and lock bolts. Thanks for the response. steg49
