A couple years ago, I decided to rework a Miroku or Ultra Hi .67 cal smoothbore pistol. I believe it was the Continental version of the Japanese "Tower" pistol. I slimmed down the stock, shortened the barrel, added beavertails, moved the ramrod pipe up, and replaced the metal rammer with a wooden one. The idea was sort of to make it look like an American copy of a British Light Dragoon pistol, albeit with a Sea Service style lock, since that's what was on it. Sold it last month to a buddy of mine, but enjoyed it for a number of years.

Neat gun you have there, whats the .67 cal ball weight ?
I picked up a low level Miroku Kentucky in .45 cal from a friend for 20 bucks that was missing a front sight and had a cracked stock. I milled out and fit a new front sight, repaired the stock , browned the barrel and the little gun shoots like a house afire. The cheap looking lock sparks like 60 using my home knapped flints, which was a surprise . The one thing kind of peculiar about it is the vent is angled forward from the pan ( drill bit in vent angle) but still fires reliably without hesitation which kind of baffles me. Don't know how I am going to be able to reline the vent when it finally erodes, angled forward like it is. Guess I'll figure something out when the time comes.
Your Miroku looks to be several levels higher quality than this plain Jane!

That's a neat gun you've got there as well! I have a simila, if not the same, lock that I'm trying to figure out what to do with. It's a cheap one, but if it sparks, it'll work!
Not sure on the ball weight I shot in what I had, but I shot it with a .600 ball in a paper cartridge. Never shot it with the intention of great accuracy, just plinked at 25-35 yards with, and had plenty of misses! But it was all fun.

Well at least for a 20 dollar gun I didn't get burned to bad I guess ! Still need to build a wood loading rod for it as I've been using a brass range rod to load it.
