7/16" Ram rod for .50 cal?

I need to order a Pistol Loader ( basically a 10" ball starter) for my .50 cal Pistol. Track has them in 3/8" and 7/16. I have the 7/16" with .50 cal jag in my cart but figured I would ask here first before ordering. Is there any issue with using that large of a ram rod in a .50? Thanks in advance.

If it fits, Use It! However I don't see where an extra 1/16" diameter will do much for it. I use a 3/8 rod in a .54 cal rifle. AND it tapers to 5/16 at one end.
