Looks like a gorgeous rifle Bill, do you have any pictures of the other side with the cheek piece and side plate? Also are the dovetails on the sights narrow enough that you could put traditional sights on it. Mr. Hamlin did an excellent job with the build

Tommy,
It's a nice rifle .The patch box is tapered large from rear to thin - lays flatter than some of those big fat lumps.
The rear dove tail, I don't know eyeball with a mic. measures at around .625 it's one of the longer bases.

Thanks Bill. I need to do some checking on sight options. And I agree the patch box was beautifully executed.

Nothing I can see. It's only been fired maybe 2-3 dozen times
Thanks for the quick reply. Would you mind taking a look at the area in image number eight (the closeup of the lock area) where the breechface of the barrel meets the stock? It may just be the grain of the wood, a scratch, or some other imperfection, but it sure looks like a crack in the photos. Don’t mean to come across as a tire kicker, as I am genuinely interested, but I’ve had two rifles arrive in the past two weeks that had non-disclosed stock cracks.

I'll double check tomorrow

Here's more pictures.
Correction on the only being fired two or three dozen times that's a different rifle I have here.

The line on the left hand side of the rifle behind the breach. That looks like it may be a crack, but it's not an opened up crack.
It also may be an inclusion in the wood.

Under the trigger guard. That appears to be where the chisel got away because I can see it chip and a line.
I pulled the lock out and I can't see anything on the inside of the mortise.

A few small chips in front of the lock.

And a dent right side Forend just behind the center thimble.

And the sights, SMH.

Price remains the same, 1500$ shipped.

Good eyes guys!

Thanks
Bill

Thanks so much for taking the time to look into that for me, Bill. I’m trying to choose between this and another rifle for sale here on the forum; hoping to come to a decision shortly here… hopefully before it’s sold!
