Reduced . This is a really nice example of a 3rd Generation Colt 1860 with fluted cylinder. I believe these were only made 1980-81 with fewer than 3000 made. This one appears unfired and would rate near mint had it not been cocked and the wedge taken out roughly. Still, finish is excellent and grips unmarked. $600 + Shipping.

Thats odd. The serial number does not come up in the Colt look up. Colt's Manufacturing LLC
I don't believe that the 3rd generation pistols will show up on the actual Colt serial number research site. My guess would be as Colt doesn't recognize the 3rd gen Signature Series revolvers they don't have the serial numbers. Also read that when the licensing agreement between Colt and Colt Black Powder Arms which produced the 3rd gen Signature Series pistols expired the serial number records disappeared. Do a search for Colt Signature Series serial numbers and you will get a lot of discussion on this subject. Dennis Adler and Dennis Russel's books on Colt reproduction revolvers have a lot of information on them.

Well that stinks!
